First, congrats on proactively researching the courses after taking commerce in the 12th grade! Our 6-part series on the best courses after 12th commerce will help you decide your best course of action.


Secondly, I completely understand how overwhelming and permanent this decision feels. Like any other stream, studying commerce in the 12th grade can be a gateway to various lucrative careers.


While I do not believe that these career choices are absolutely irreversible, making the right choice, at the right time, at the very beginning, can help you succeed in your career early on in life.


A recent article by Where the Rooster Crows indicated that a whopping 95% of students don’t want to know what they want to do in the future, and nearly 25% claimed that their parents made decisions for them.


So, if you still feel like you’re the only one that doesn’t have a rock-solid plan for the future. Fret not! 95% of students across the globe share the same feeling. 

What are the best courses after taking commerce in the 12th grade?

 

Alright, alright, alright. The wait is over! 


We have compiled a comprehensive list of 28+ courses you can pursue after taking commerce in 12th standard. In part 1, we’ve explained the conventional course options in depth.


We have divided the list into 6 parts to make it easier to understand.


Let me also add a quick disclaimer to dispel any confusion right at the start. Some of these courses can be pursued only after graduation, but it always helps to prepare for them while studying for your Bachelor’s degree.


Now that we have our disclaimer out of the way let’s understand each career option in detail. 

Conventional Courses After 12th Commerce

 

Okay, just because I call them conventional courses does not mean there is something fundamentally wrong with pursuing them. In fact, the truth is that each of these courses can lead to incredibly satisfying and impressive careers. 


  1. Bachelor of Commerce

    Commerce is the exchange of goods and services among individuals and business entities. Studying commerce is college can lead to a career in a plethora of interesting fields, some of which are listed in the below image.

  2. B.Com. Hons.

    B.Com (Hons.) is a curriculum that focused on building practical skills for careers in business and management sectors. Since the curriculum is more in-depth, it is more popular than the B.Com degree

  3. Bachelor of Business Management 

    BBM is a UG program that equips students with the skills necessary to thrive in leadership and management roles in the business and corporate worlds.

  4. BA Economics

    Economics is a social science that analyses the production, distributing and consumption of goods and services. A BA Economics degree from the right university can lead to a flourishing career in a variety of fields.

  5. BA Humanities

    A Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in the humanities facilitates understanding numerous interdisciplinary subjects such as history, philosophy, economics, language, and literature.
